A brief profile

Asst. Prof. Mithun Samanta is in the final stage of his Ph.D. in Corporate Finance at the Vinod Gupta School of Management, IIT Kharagpur. His expertise spans Corporate Finance, Capital Structure, Corporate Risk-Taking, ESG, and Corporate Governance. His research has been presented at leading conferences, including the Southern Finance Association, French Finance Association, and the World Finance and Banking Symposium. He has received multiple best paper awards, including First Prize at the 17th International Conference on Business and Finance (ICBF), 2025, and has served as a reviewer for the Academy of Management (AOM) 2025 Annual Meeting and as a session chair at the World Finance and Banking Symposium, 2024.
