My Experience in the First-Level Placement Process

When I joined college, the first few months felt like a constant hustle between daily tests, quizzes, assignments, presentations and senior meetings about policies and time management, I barely had time to sleep or focus on my health. It was the busiest phase of my life and I often felt like I had lost track of everything I used to do before.

Time passed quickly and then seniors informed us that we would be going for a four-month internship and should start preparing for interviews. At first, I was nervous because I had no idea what the process involved or how to prepare. Fear, I realized, comes from not knowing. Once you understand the process and face it step by step, confidence begins to grow.

The placement team soon announced our first company - InBody. Seniors guided us on how to prepare, explaining the areas to focus on and how to present ourselves. From that day, I made a clear plan:

  • I researched the company thoroughly, visited its website and made notes.
  • I refined my CV so I could confidently explain every detail.
  • I revised the concepts taught in class, keeping in mind that as freshers, we wouldn’t be asked very technical questions.

On the interview day, I was nervous but my preparation gave me a sense of calm. I knew I had done my homework and that helped me face the process with more confidence.

My Role and How I Plan to Execute It

At InBody, my role is to learn, contribute and adapt. As a fresher, I may not have much experience, but I bring curiosity and the willingness to work hard. My plan is to:

  • Listen carefully and learn from mentors.
  • Apply classroom knowledge to practical situations.
  • Stay proactive by asking questions and taking initiative.
  • Balance discipline with creativity, since internships are also about showing fresh perspectives.

Reflection

Looking back, the journey from fear to confidence has been an important learning experience. The placement process taught me that preparation is the key to overcoming anxiety. Researching, planning and staying consistent helped me step into my first internship with clarity.

This experience is not just about one company or one role, it marks the beginning of my professional journey and the mindset to face challenges with confidence.
